On the Aeroméxico flight 230 (flight number IATA : AM230 , ICAO : AMX230 , call sign: AERO MEXICO 230 ) failed on 27 July 1981, a Douglas DC-9-32 with the air vehicle registration XA-DEN of Aeroméxico , with a domestic scheduled flight from Monterrey to Tijuana with stops in Chihuahua and Hermosillo should be done when landing at the Chihuahua airport the runway. After a routine flight from Monterrey to Chihuahua, the final approach was made during a storm. If visibility was poor, the captain set up the machine 60 meters behind the runway and 150 meters to the right of it. The machine jumped up on landing and broke apart, a fire broke out. Of the 66 occupants, 30 died, including 28 passengers and two crew members.
