Infrastructure and transport links
Terminals
The airport is considered one of the most modern in North America and has three terminals: Terminal A in the brunt of the traffic is handled, with the northern Concourse national and southern international flights are processed. The newest Terminal B is exclusively operated by Aeroméxico and the SkyTeam . Terminal C only handles the flights of the national low-cost airline Viva Aerobus . Terminals A and C were renovated in 2003 and 2007. The airport also has a freight terminal.
Transport links
Due to the short distance, Monterrey Airport is also used by residents of the neighboring states of Coahuila and Tamaulipas . Large cities such as Saltillo can be easily reached by a regular direct bus connection.
Airlines and Destinations
Most of the air traffic at the airport is made up of national air traffic with 80%, among other things because the airport is the hub of the largest Mexican airline Aeroméxico and its subsidiaries Aerolitoral and Viva Aerobus . The latter two have their headquarters at the airport. Accordingly, international traffic only accounts for 20%. The most popular international destinations are mostly in the United States of America, especially Houston and Dallas in Texas. The main non-American destination is Madrid .
In addition to the three airlines mentioned above, the airport is served by TAR Aerolíneas and US airlines such as Delta Airlines , American Airlines and United Airlines .
