The Afferbach is an approximately five and a half kilometers long right tributary of the Hösbach in the Lower Franconian district of Aschaffenburg in the Spessart . He gives their names to the Johannesberg district of Oberafferbach and the Goldbach district of Unterafferbach .

The Afferbach rises in a valley east of Oberafferbach, flows through a pond and runs east. It takes up the Fockenwaldgraben flowing down from the Hagelhof and reaches Unterafferbach. In the place it is completely piped. The Afferbach flows through the protected part of the Afferbachtal landscape to Hösbach and flows into the stream of the same name from the right.
