description
Vegetative characteristics
Agave boldinghiana grows almost stemless with sprouting rosettes . Their green, only very slightly glaucous , narrow, lanceolate, openly concave leaves are somewhat pointed. The leaf blade is 90 to 125 inches long and about 15 inches wide. The leaf margin is fairly straight. There are usually 2 to 5 millimeters long peripheral teeth on it, which are usually 1 to 1.5 centimeters apart. The strongly triangular, initially scarlet marginal teeth later turn maroon and arise from a crescent-shaped base. They are often irregularly curved outwards near the tip of the leaf. At the bottom they are bent back. The needle-like, slightly upwardly curved and arched end pin is grooved. It is 25 to 30 millimeters long. It is polished towards the tip. The end mandrel is sloping and usually has inwardly curved edges.
Inflorescences and flowers
The narrow, elongated, "panicle" inflorescence reaches a length of about 5 meters. The few, far apart partial inflorescences are located on ascending branches in the upper half (or less) of the inflorescence. The inflorescence bears abundant bulbils . The 45 millimeter long flowers are on 5 millimeter long flower stalks . Their tepals are golden yellow. Their tips are 15 millimeters long. The conical flower tube has a length of about 7 millimeters. The broad, spindle-shaped ovary is 20 to 25 millimeters long.
Fruits and seeds
Nothing is known about the fruits and seeds .
