Ahmed Rami ( Central Atlas Tamazight ⴰⵃⵎⴷ ⵔⴰⵎⵉ Aḥmed Rami ; born December 18, 1946 in Tafraoute , Morocco ) is a Swedish publicist of Moroccan origin. He is the founder of the former radio station Radio Islam , which now operates as a website.

Life

Ahmed Rami was an officer in the Moroccan army until 1972 . After participating in the failed attempted coup by Republican officers led by General Mohammed Oufkir against King Hassan II in August 1972, he fled Morocco and has been living in political asylum in Sweden since 1973 . According to research by the daily Expressen , the information provided by Rami in the asylum procedure was incorrect, and his financial sponsors were also made public. According to Expressen, these are Iran and several Arab embassies. Rami's lawsuit against the newspaper was dismissed in May 1993. In 1990 he was convicted for the first time for spreading racist and anti-Semitic ideas.

A quote from Rami, which was broadcast on the Hezbollah- affiliated television station Al-Manar , documents his attitude: “ Appeal to French Muslims: Vote Le Pen ! .. France is not run by real French, but by the lackeys of the Zionist International who control the economy ... Le Pen is acting to liquidate the forces of evil that want to enslave France, as they do Palestine and numerous other nations like the United States, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Vatican. ..

activities

With “Radio Islam” Rami has been collaborating with right-wing extremists and Islamists in Sweden since 1987 . He was convicted of hate speech several times and was punished in 1990 with the revocation of his broadcasting license for one year. In 1991 he took part in the revisionist congress "Truth Makes Free" in Munich , and in Great Britain he took part in a revisionist forum organized by David Irving . He published his book The Power of the Zionists in 1994. It was translated by the Swiss Holocaust denier Jürgen Graf .

He has been running his website since 1996, on which revisionist ideas are disseminated and also linked to the websites of Hezbollah and Hamas. After he was convicted of sedition again in 2000, his website could no longer be reached.

Rami appeared as a speaker at an international meeting of Holocaust deniers organized by Oleg Platonov in Moscow in January 2002. In Vichy in December 2003, he took part in the founding event of the right-wing extremist “ Association for the Rehabilitation of Those Persecuted for Contesting the Holocaust ”.
