Ahn Jin-hui (born March 6, 1991 in Seoul ) is a South Korean ice hockey player , who last played for the Daemyung Sangmu military sports club .
Career
Ahn Jin-hui began his career as a hockey player on the Kyung-bok High School team . He later moved to Korea University , whose team he also led on the ice as team captain. After spending the 2013/14 season with Kiekko-Vantaa in the Mestis , the second highest Finnish division, he returned to South Korea in 2014 and has since played for Anyang Halla in the Asia League Ice Hockey . In 2016 and 2017 he won the championship of the Asia League with the team.
Between 2017 and 2019 he did his military service and played for Daemyung Sangmu , the military sports club of the Korean Armed Forces, in the Korean championship. He was one of the last players in the armed forces' ice hockey program.
International
For South Korea, Ahn Jin-hui already took part in the U18 World Championships in 2008 and 2009 in Division II. After he made his debut in the senior national team of the Asian country in the 2012/13 season , he was used for the first time in the 2015 World Cup and immediately rose with his team from the B group to the A group in Division I. There he played at the World Championships in 2016 and 2017 , when the East Asians achieved promotion to the top division for the first time. There he played at the 2018 World Cup . He also represented his colors at the 2018 Winter Olympics in his own country.
