Aigonnay is a commune Déléguée in the French community Aigondigné with 640 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Deux-Sevres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The residents call themselves Aigonnaisien or Aigonnaisiennes.

On January 1, 2019, the municipality of Aigonnay merged with Mougon-Thorigné and Sainte-Blandine to form the Commune nouvelle Aigondigné. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Aigonnay belonged to the canton of Celles-sur-Belle in the Arrondissement of Niort . It bordered in the north-west by Sainte-Néomaye , in the north-east by Romans , in the east by Prailles , in the south and south-west by Mougon-Thorigné and in the west by Fressines .
