Air Sénégal is Senegal's national airline with its home base and hub at Dakar-Blaise Diagne Airport near Dakar .

history

Air Sénégal was founded in 2016 and was due to start operations on December 7, 2017 with the opening of the new Dakar-Blaise Diagne International Airport . On this date, however, only the first two machines were taken over. A second date for the start of flight operations at the beginning of 2018 could not be met, the reason was the lack of an Air Operator Certificate , which the company only received on April 30, 2018. A first flight took place on the same day from Dakar and Ziguinchor with an ATR 72-600 (with the registration number 6V-AMS ), but without taking up scheduled flights .

Destinations

Air Sénégal served by Dakar-Blaise Diagne from the Paris-Charles de Gaulle as a European destination in France and some West African destinations including Abidjan , Cotonou , Bamako , Banjul , Bissau , Conakry , Ouagadougou , Praia and Sal and as a domestic flight to the airport Ziguinchor .
