Aké Arnaud Loba (born April 1, 1998 in Divo ) is an Ivorian soccer player who has been under contract with the Mexican first division club CF Monterrey since January 2020 . The striker is a former Ivorian U20 international .

Career

Aké Loba, who was born in Divo in the south of Vivo , started playing football at AS des Enseignants d'Abobo before joining the youth team of the first division SO de l'Armée in 2015. The striker first appeared in the first team in the 2016/17 season and was immediately nominated for Ligue 1's team of the year.

On December 30, 2017, he and his compatriot Franck Amani Anoumou moved to the Peruvian first division club Universidad San Martín . On February 4, 2018 (1st matchday of Torneo de Verano) he made his debut in the top Peruvian league in a 4-0 home win against Ayacucho FC . Just a week later, the young Ivorian scored in a 2-1 away win against CD Comerciantes Unidos . He quickly made it to a regular player and showed a lot of influence with the young Albos team with goal participation. In the Torneo de Verano he played 13 games in which he scored seven goals and prepared two more goals.

He was also able to convince in the following Apertura, in which he scored seven goals and four assists in 13 games. In the Clausura he missed many games due to injury and only played six games in which he scored four times. He ended the 2018 game year with 18 goals, making him the sixth best goalscorer in the league. His strong performances earned him a nomination for the Player of the Season award, which ultimately won Gabriel Costa from champions Sporting Cristal .

On January 1, 2019, Aké Loba moved to the Mexican first division club Querétaro FC for one year . Six days later (1st matchday of Clausura) he made his debut in the 1: 2 home defeat against Atlas Guadalajara in Liga MX when he was substituted on for Jaime Gómez in the 61st minute . In the next league games he was always substituted and on March 17 (11th matchday of the Clausura) he scored his first league goal in the 1: 4 away defeat against the UANL Tigres . Loba scored three goals in 17 league games in the 2019 Clausura .

In the next Apertura in 2019 , he was already an important regular player for the Gallos Blancos . On August 28, 2019 (7th matchday of Apertura) he scored two goals and one preparatory work in the 5-0 away win against CD Veracruz . In the Clausura he scored six goals in 19 league appearances and assisted two more goals. Then he first returned to Lima .

On January 14, 2020, Loba moved to the Mexican first division club CF Monterrey , where he signed a five-year contract. He made his debut five days later (2nd day of the Clausura) in a 2-2 draw against Monarcas Morelia . In the next league games he was not considered. He scored his first league goal on March 8, 2020 (9th matchday of Clausura) in a 2-2 draw against Atlético San Luis . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the league championship was canceled in mid-March 2020. By then he had only played three league games in which he was able to mark a hit.

National team

In June 2017 he took the national team U20 Ivorian at the Tournament of Toulon in part. He reached there with the selection of the final against England , where he converted a penalty to 1: 1 in stoppage time and promoted his team to penalties . In this he converted his attempt, but the Ivory Coast lost 3: 5. In this tournament he was used in four games in which he managed a goal.
