The Aktash ( Russian Акта́ш ) is a left tributary of the Sulak in the Russian Republic of Dagestan .

The Aktasch rises on the northern flank of the Andijski ridge . In the upper reaches it forms a mountain river. It flows through the mountains not far from the border with Chechnya in a northerly direction. He takes up the Salassu from the right. Later it flows through the city of Khassavyurt . In the lower reaches he reaches the lowlands. It takes up the two rivers Jaryksu and Aksai from the left. Finally it turns to the east and finally flows into the Sulak. The lower course of the Aktash is canalised.

The Aksai has a length of 156 km. It drains an area of ​​3390 km². The river water is diverted for irrigation purposes .
