Alexander "Ala" Heiler (* 13 December 1953 in Stuttgart ) is a German jazz musician with trips to rock 'n' roll and pop , also entrepreneurs and Golf - coach .

Life

In addition to woodwind instruments , Heiler also studied singing and acting, later worked as a lecturer for singing and saxophone at the Joe Haider Munich Jazz School and as a studio musician and for productions by Max Greger , Hugo Strasser , Erwin Lehn on radio and television.

In 1981 he founded his own saxophone and vocal institute in Munich. In addition to teaching there, he composed, arranged and dubbed for TV series such as Kir Royal , SOKO , films and artists such as the Münchner Lach- und Schießgesellschaft , Roy Black , Ireen Sheer and Tommy Steiner .

In 1982 the first solo production à la Ala was released on Bhakti Records. In 1984 he founded the Wind group on behalf of and in collaboration with the producer team Ralph Siegel and Werner Schüler . He was involved in the success of the group at the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 (2nd place with the song For Everyone ) and 2nd place in 1987 ( Let the sun in your heart ). Until 1992 he remained connected to the Eurovision Song Contest as a coach for later participants.

After the wind phase, Heiler and Deborah Yates founded a European translation and language service agency with headquarters in Stuttgart. Nevertheless, he continued to make music, now again with a focus on jazz, recorded CDs such as A Tribute to Sinatra and played concerts with Peter Herbolzheimer , Joe Gallardo , Horst Jankowski and various big bands such as the Erwin Lehn Big Band and the Al Raymond Big Band, the u. a. played in the swearing-in of several US presidents. With this band he toured North America.

As captain and head of delegation, Ala Heiler traveled on behalf of the General German University Sports Association with the German national university golf team to Thailand in 2005 and to Italy for the World Cup in 2006. He plays with a single handicap for the charity troupe "Bogeys-BW", looks after the young talent Max Futschek (three-time youth club champion 2007/08/09), as well as Michael Resch (two-time German champion 2007/08 and German runner-up in 2009 in golf for Disabled Persons) and Florian Fleischmann (two-time German university gold champion 2004/06).

At the European Disabled Golfers Championship 2009 in Sotogrande / Spain, the German national team with coach Ala Heiler finished 2nd in the European championship. Ala Heiler was vice-president of GC Neckartal eV Stuttgart / Kornwestheim, board member of BGC (Disabled Golf Club Germany) and works as an independent coach.
