Alain Fleischer
Alain Fleischer (* 1944 in Paris ) is a French director , writer , photographer and sculptor .
Life
Alain Fleischer studied French (lettres modern), linguistics , anthropology and semiology at the Sorbonne and at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris .
He taught in numerous schools:
- University of Paris 3 at IDHEC (Institut des hautes études cinématographiques)
- National School of Art in Villa Arson
- École nationale supérieure d'arts de Cergy-Pontoise
- École de la photographie d'Arles
- University of Québec in Montréal , ( UQAM )
Today he is the director of Fresnoy, the national contemporary arts studio , where he also teaches.
Alain Fleischer is represented by the Le Réverbère gallery in Lyon .
Photographic art
Exhibition is a photo series with around a hundred photographs that he has been working on for over fifteen years. The basic principle is always the same: the photograph shows an urban landscape with a pornographic detail image. It is the union of two motifs and two photographic genres that are fundamentally opposite. He often uses infrared images for his photographic works. He also needs complex equipment to carry out his work. He works with chemicals, optical experiments and light reflections. His works approach the cinema . You can see a variety of shapes and approaches in one picture.
