Albert Burger (politician)
Albert Burger (born February 23, 1925 in Kollnau , † October 10, 1981 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( CDU ).
Life
After graduating from elementary school, Burger completed a commercial apprenticeship and at the same time attended a commercial college. He was drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1943, took part in World War II as a soldier and was seriously wounded during the war . At the end of the war he was taken prisoner of war , from which he was released in 1946.
Since 1946 Burger worked in the administration of the clinical university institutes in Freiburg . In 1958 he switched to the municipal service, passed both administrative exams and then worked as a senior civil servant in the Kollnau municipal administration. Most recently he was promoted to Chief Administrative Inspector here.
Political party
Burger joined the CDU in 1947. Later he was elected chairman of the CDU district association Emmendingen . From 1966 to 1977 he was deputy chairman of the CDU district association in South Baden . He was also chairman of the Christian Democratic Workers' Union (CDA) in South Baden from 1966 to 1981 .
MP
Burger had been a council member of the Kollnau community since 1953. In 1956 he was elected to the district council of the Emmendingen district, to which he belonged until 1964, and was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there since 1959. From 1964 until his resignation on October 31, 1965, he was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1965 until his death. In parliament he represented the constituency Emmendingen - Wolfach and then the constituency Emmendingen - Lahr from 1965 to 1980 .
