Albert Günther (politician)

Albert Günther (born January 20, 1904 in Bochum , † September 14, 1980 in Brilon ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Günther completed a commercial apprenticeship and worked in this profession. He was chairman of the Catholic youth in Bochum and chairman of the CDU district association Brilon.

Günther was married.

He was a member of the district council of the Brilon district from 1952 to 1969. He was also a city councilor in Bochum from 1932.

Public offices

From December 9, 1952 to November 28, 1969 he was district administrator of the former district of Brilon. He was the successor to District Administrator Lorenz Hoffmann .

Others

On January 20, 1969, Günther was awarded the Ring of Honor of the District of Brilon, and the Federal Republic of Germany's Cross of Merit 1st Class was awarded to him on June 27, 1969.
