Lorenz Hoffmann (politician)

Lorenz Hoffmann (born March 17, 1892 in Bigge ; † September 28, 1967 ibid) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Hoffmann completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter , was a journeyman , passed the master craftsman examination and was active in this profession.

He was married and had four children.

MP

Member of the district assembly of the district Brilon he was from 1928 to 1933 and from 13 October 1946 to 26 September 1964. He also served from 1945 member of the municipal council of the municipality of Bigge.

Public offices

From November 28, 1950 to December 9, 1952 he was district administrator of the former district of Brilon. Hoffmann was also the mayor of Bigge.

Others

On March 17, 1957, Hoffmann was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon. He was the district fire chief for the district of Brilon. In recognition of his services to the volunteer fire department , he was awarded the Golden Fire Department Decoration in 1956 .
