Josef Roggenkamp

Josef Roggenkamp (born May 21, 1897 ; † December 9, 1973 in Bonn ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( center and CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school and training as a teacher , he worked at schools in Brilon from 1923 to 1933. In 1933 he was dismissed from school. After military service and imprisonment, he returned to school work, most recently as rector . He was married and had one child.

From October 13, 1946 to November 8, 1952 he was a member of the district council of the then Brilon district . October 24, 1946 to November 5, 1948 Roggenkamp district administrator of the district. He was represented in numerous bodies of the Center Party.

Others

On the occasion of his 70th birthday, Roggenkamp received the ring of honor of the district of Brilon because of his efforts to overcome post-war problems. He was the first elected district administrator in the district.
