Albert Hamilton Gordon

Albert Hamilton Gordon (born July 21, 1901 in Scituate , Plymouth County , Massachusetts , † May 1, 2009 in New York City ) was an American entrepreneur and economist .

Short biography

Albert Gordon attended the Roxbury Latin School until 1919 , where he was appointed curator in 1940. In 1925 he graduated from Harvard Business School . He went to Wall Street and worked for Goldman Sachs . In 1930 he graduated from Harvard Business School. In 1931 he and two partners took over the finance company Kidder, Peabody & Co. and managed it until it was sold to General Electric in 1986.

The Gordon formula for calculating the present value of a share or company with rising dividends is named after him.
