Albert Karl Friedrich Wilhelm von Boguslawski (born December 24, 1834 in Berlin ; † September 7, 1905 there ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and military writer.

Life

He was the grandson of Major General Carl Andreas von Boguslawski . In 1852 he joined the Prussian Army as a musketeer , became an officer in 1854 and participated in the German War in 1866, the German-Danish War in 1864 and the German-French War in 1870/71, the latter as a company commander in the 5th Army Corps . He was then colonel and commander of the Colberg Grenadier Regiment (2nd Pomeranian) No. 9 . In 1891 he resigned from active service as a lieutenant general.

As a military writer, Boguslawski pointed to the endangered position of Germany in the event of a two-front war. He was married to Camilla Schmidt (1848–1920), a relative of the builder Carl von Gontard . He published his fiction under the pseudonym Friedrich Wernau. He was friends with the writer and historian Felix Dahn .

His grave is in the old garrison cemetery in Berlin on Linienstraße.
