Albert of Mutius

Albert von Mutius (born August 6, 1942 in Swinoujscie ) is a German legal scholar . He held the chair for public law and administrative sciences at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel .

Von Mutius studied law , sociology and economics at the University of Kiel from 1962 to 1966 . In 1966 he passed the first state examination in law, in 1969 he did his doctorate in Kiel on the subject of the objection procedure of the VwGO as an administrative procedure and process requirement for the Dr. jur. In 1970 he passed the second state examination in law in Hamburg and gained practical experience in local government. In addition, he worked as a research assistant at the municipal science institute of the University of Münster until 1974 . In 1974 , von Mutius completed his habilitation in the subjects of public law and administration. This was followed by a teaching position at the University of Münster, then in 1975 he was deputy professor at the Universities of Bochum , Bonn and Mainz . In 1976 he was appointed to the chair for public law and administration at the University of Mainz. He has been working at Kiel University since 1979. There he was also a managing board member of the Lorenz von Stein Institute for Administrative Sciences until 2004 . At the end of the summer semester 2007 he retired.
