Alberto Tanasini (born August 6, 1945 in Ravenna ) is Bishop of Chiavari .

Life

He was ordained a priest on March 1, 1969 by the Archbishop of Genoa , Giuseppe Cardinal Siri .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Genoa and titular bishop of Suelli on July 6, 1996 . The Archbishop of Genoa , Dionigi Tettamanzi , donated him episcopal ordination on September 14th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Giacomo Barabino , Bishop of Ventimiglia-San Remo , and Martino Canessa , Bishop of Tortona . As a motto he chose Cognovimus et credidimus caritati .

He was appointed Bishop of Chiavari on March 20, 2004, and was introduced to the office on May 16 of the same year.
