Albina (outdated: Colonia Brod , Hungarian: Bródpuszta ) is a village in Timiș County , Banat , Romania . The village of Albina is part of the Moșnița Nouă municipality .
Geographical location
Albina is situated on the county road DJ592 Timişoara - Buziaş , nine kilometers from Timişoara and three kilometers from the Timis .

history
Albina was founded in 1925 by the settlement of 70 families from the Sebeşu de Jos municipality and 7 families from the Sadu municipality , both in Sibiu County . Each colonist was given 8 hectares of land and 2,877 square meters of land for their house and yard. When setting up their own business, the families were financially supported by the “Albina Bank” from Sibiu , after which the village was later named. For a while the place was called Colonia Bucovăț-Brod . Until 1950 Albina belonged to the municipality of Bucovăț , after which it became part of the municipality of Moşnița Nouă.
Lido Albina
Albina is a popular destination. Thanks to its location on the Timis and proximity to Timisoara here is one of the most popular beach resorts of the district Timis. The place is equipped with holiday homes, but is also ideal for camping.
