Johan Alcén (born March 11, 1988 in Sandviken ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Brynäs IF in the Svenska Hockeyligan since August 2015 .
Career
Johan Alcén began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with Sandvikens IK , for whom he made his debut in the fourth-class Division 2 in the 2003/04 season . He then moved to the junior division of the first division club Brynäs IF , for which he ran for the first time in the 2005/06 season in the Elitserien , with the attacker in his rookie year remained pointless and punished in three games. In the following season he received significantly more ice age at Brynäs, for which he ran up in a total of 33 games. In addition, the right-handed shooter, who was also still eligible to play for the U20 juniors Brynäs', completed two games in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan for IFK Arboga . He was then selected in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round as the 195th player of the Colorado Avalanche . First, however, Alcén stayed at Brynäs IF, with whom he achieved relegation in the 2007/08 season. In the decisive Kvalerien , the junior national player contributed to the success of his team with one goal and two assists.
For the 2009/10 season , Alcén moved to Rögle BK within the Elitserien . The following season he spent at the second division Leksands IF before moving to their league rivals Mora IK for the 2011/12 season. After a total of four seasons there, he returned to Brynäs IF in the Svenska Hockeyligan in summer 2015 .
International
For Sweden , Alcén took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2008 , in which he finished second with his team.
