Alceste Catella (born May 5, 1942 in Tavigliano , Province of Biella , Italy ) is an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman and emeritus bishop of Casale Monferrato .

Life

Alceste Catella received on 26 June 1966 by the Bishop of Biella , Carlo Rossi , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 15, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Casale Monferrato. The Archbishop of Turin , Cardinal Severino Poletto , donated him episcopal ordination on June 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Vercelli , Enrico Masseroni , and the Bishop of Biella, Gabriele Mana . The inauguration took place on September 7, 2008.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on July 31, 2017.
