Germano Zaccheo

Germano Zaccheo (born August 16, 1934 in Cannobio , Verbano-Cusio-Ossola Province , Italy ; † November 20, 2007 in Fátima , Portugal ) was Bishop of Casale Monferrato .

Life

Germano Zaccheo received on 29 June 1958, the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 1969 he was rector of the diocesan seminary . In 1974 he became episcopal vicar for lay work and in 1987 vicar general in the Diocese of Novara

In 1995 he was appointed Bishop of Casale Monferrato by Pope John Paul II . The bishop of Novara, Renato Corti , donated him the episcopal ordination on September 16, 1995. Co- consecrators were the old bishop of Novara, Aldo Del Monte , and the old bishop of Casale Monferrato Carlo Cavalla .

He was a member of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Italian Bishops' Conference .

Bishop Zaccheo died on a pilgrimage in Fátima, Portugal.
