Carlo Cavalla

Carlo Cavalla (born June 19, 1919 in Villafranca d'Asti , Piedmont , Italy , † January 4, 1999 in Casale Monferrato ) was Bishop of Casale Monferrato .

Life

Carlo Cavalla received on 19 June 1943, the sacrament of Holy Orders . He was born in Turin in specialist literature doctorate . After a few years in pastoral care , Cavalla became assistant to the female youth of Catholic Action in 1959, based in Rome .

On March 1, 1971, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Bishop of Casale Monferrato. The Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops , Carlo Cardinal Confalonieri , ordained him episcopal on April 18 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Porto and Santa Rufina , Andrea Pangrazio , and the Bishop Emeritus of Crema , Franco Costa . The inauguration took place on May 30, 1971.

On June 3, 1995, Pope John Paul II accepted Carlo Cavalla's resignation because of his age.
