Alden Ehrenreich
Alden Caleb Ehrenreich (born November 22, 1989 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor .
Life
Ehrenreich was born in Los Angeles, California in 1989. His mother, Sari, is an interior designer and his stepfather (Harry Aronowitz) is an orthodontist . Ehrenreich comes from a Jewish family with ancestors from Austria, Hungary, Russia and Poland and was brought up according to reconstructionist Judaism. He attended Palisades Elementary School in Pacific Palisades and then the Crossroads School in Santa Monica , California.
He lived in New York and studied theater at New York University . In 2009 he founded the theater and film company The Collectin with Zoë Worth .
His career began with guest appearances in Supernatural and CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators . He then starred in several short films before moving into the independent film Tetro the role of Bennie played. In 2011 he was in the horror film Twixt alongside Val Kilmer to see.
In April 2012 he replaced Jack O'Connell in the role of Ethan Wate in the fantasy film Beautiful Creatures , which opened in theaters in 2013. Also in 2013 he starred alongside Nicole Kidman in the horror film Stoker in the role of Whip Taylor .
In May 2016 it was announced that he would play the role of Han Solo in Solo: A Star Wars Story . The film is about the life of the young Han Solo and is set about ten years before the events of Star Wars (1977), in which Harrison Ford played the role.
2020 on the book ran Brave New World based series Brave New World to, in which he plays the lead role.
