Alexander Igorewitsch Wassiljew ( Russian Александр Игоревич Васильев ; born May 16, 1989 in Elektrostal , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Juschny Ural Orsk from the Vysschaja Hockey League since 2018 .
Career
Alexander Vasilyev began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of HK Dynamo Moscow , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2005 to 2007 . The winger then played in the 2007/08 season for the second team of the SKA Saint Petersburg also in the Pervaya League, as well as for the professional team of Neftjanik Leninogorsk in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division.
From 2008 to 2010 Wassiljew was under contract with Vitjas Chekhov in the newly founded Continental Hockey League (KHL). At his new club he was able to convince especially in the 2008/09 season , the first season of the KHL, and was elected rookie of the month of the league in December and January . In the 2009/10 season he played parallel for Vitjas' junior team in the first-ever multinational youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga . The following season began the left shooter at Atlant Mytishchi , for whose junior team he ran parallel in the MHL.
In December 2010 he moved within the KHL to Metallurg Novokuznetsk , but also came to four missions for HK Ryazan in the new second division, the Wysschaja Hockey League , during the season . In the 2011/12 season he was initially only used by Metallurg's farm team Jermak Angarsk in the Wysschaja Hockey League. At the end of October 2011 he moved within the Wysschaja Hockey League to HK Donbass Donetsk , who was accepted into the KHL for the following season.
In mid-January 2013, shortly after winning the IIHF Continental Cup with HK Donbass Donetsk, it was handed over to SKA Saint Petersburg , which used it at HK WMF Saint Petersburg until the end of the season . He was then given to HK Witjas as part of a player swap .
