Alessa Berkenkamp

Alessa Ulrike Berkenkamp (born April 6, 1982 in Troisdorf ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). She was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from April to October 2016 .

Life

Alessa Berkenkamp studied cultural studies at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) up to a Bachelor of Arts . This was followed from 2004 to 2005 by a one-year study abroad for European integration at the Università di Roma “La Sapienza”. In 2007 she began studying political science at the University of Potsdam , which she completed in 2011 with a Master of Arts . She is currently working on a doctorate on raw materials policy at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster .

Berkenkamp worked as a research assistant for Malte Spitz and Silke Gebel and as an assistant for Cem Özdemir . In 2012 she was a consultant in the federal office of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the primary election . She is a part-time research assistant at the management consultancy / think tank Humanistic Management Practices gGmbH.

From 2009 to 2012 Berkenkamp was a member of the board of the diet commission of the district association Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Berlin-Mitte. On April 1, 2016, she moved into the Berlin House of Representatives via the state list in the replacement procedure for the retired Heiko Thomas . In Parliament, she was a member of the Committee on Home Affairs, Security and Order and the Committee on Economy, Research and Technology.

After the House of Representatives election in September 2016 , she left parliament.
