Services
Alessandro Barchiesi has earned a reputation as one of the world's leading interpreters of Latin literature. His focus is on Augustan poetry, especially Ovid , which can be seen in his book "Il poeta e il Principe" (1994 in Italian, 1997 as "The Poet and the Prince" in English) and in the collection of essays "Speaking Volumes" (2001), but his competence extends far beyond that to Greek poetry and its reception in Roman literature, literary theory and the relationship between literature and the fine arts in antiquity.
