Alessandro Maria Gottardi (born April 30, 1912 in Venice , † March 24, 2001 in Trento ) was Archbishop of Trento .

Life

Alessandro Maria Gottardi was ordained a priest on July 1, 1934 . Pope John XXIII appointed him Archbishop of Trento in 1963 . He was ordained bishop on March 24, 1963 by the Patriarch of Venice Giovanni Cardinal Urbani ; Co- consecrators were Umberto Ravetta , Bishop of Senigallia , and Giuseppe Olivotti , Auxiliary Bishop in Venice. His age-related resignation was granted by Pope John Paul II in 1987.
