Alex Gaudino (* 23. January 1970 in Salerno , full name Alessandro Fortunato Gaudino ) is an Italian House - DJ and producer.
Career
Gaudino started DJing in 1986 and from 1990 he was resident DJ in larger clubs in southern Italy. In 1993 he went to Milan and became A&R of the successful Flying Records label , which during his time brought out numerous European club hits.
After five years he founded his own label. In Rise Records released hits like Feel It by The Tamperer and You See The Trouble With Me by Black Legend , both No. 1 hits in the UK. In 2000 he was nominated for best A&R at the European Music Awards.
In the following years he expanded his work to include producing and remixing and worked with Mousse T. , Ultra Naté and Crystal Waters , among others . With the latter he also released his first single in 2003, entitled Destination Unknown . Further publications followed, which were mainly successful in the club charts. In addition, he expanded his activity as a DJ to all of Europe, and also performed in North and South America.
Alex Gaudino had the really big hit in 2007. He combined the saxophone part of the club hit Calabria by the Dane Rune RK with the vocals of Crystal Waters from Destination Unknown to create Destination Calabria . The song entered the charts across Europe, reached the top 10 in Great Britain, Spain and France and even secured number 3 in Australia.
In 2013 Gaudino reported back with a new album. It is titled Doctor Love and, in addition to some classics, such as the chart hit What a Feeling in collaboration with Kelly Rowland and the top 10 hit I'm in Love , also contains new collaborations with musicians like Jason Derulo , Jay Sean or Taboo . He hit the charts with several singles. Including a top 50 placement with I Don't Wanna Dance (in collaboration with Taboo) and Playing with My Heart (together with Jason Derulo).
