Alex Kilb
Alexander Michael Kilb (born March 7, 1969 in Waiblingen ) is a German music producer , music publisher , film producer - and director , songwriter and music manager from Winterbach , Baden-Württemberg .
biography
Alex Kilb is the founder of the 90s techno group Intrance feat. D-sign , whose hit Te quiero was able to place in the top 20 of the German single charts . Kilb also initiated the DJ project Mythos' n DJ Cosmo , which was able to place a total of six singles in the German single charts in the late 90s and early 2000s. With over 750,000 records sold worldwide, Mythos' n DJ is Cosmo Kilb's most successful music project to date.
In 1999 Kilb signed an extensive "framework exclusive agreement" with the Hamburg company Edel Records with regard to its labels Unsubmissive and Popmissive, which operate under the umbrella of his company House of Music Entertainment . As part of the collaboration, the projects Ayla , Pearls , Mythos' n DJ Cosmo , Derb and Axel Konrad were able to be included in the official charts in addition to high dance charts in Germany. In 2002, Unsubmissive signed an exclusive label deal with Polydor . During this collaboration artists like Ayla , Mythos' n DJ Cosmo feat. Dario G and Mythos' n Watergate , Cuban singer Malú and Australian singer Joey Perone entered the charts.
Due to the success, there was also a collaboration with the English music project Dario G , with which the joint single Heaven Is Closer (Feels Like Heaven) was released, which also hit the single charts in German-speaking countries.
Worldwide productions by Alex Kilb and publications on his labels have sold over 1 million times. In total there were five gold and one silver record awards.
In the late 2000s Kilb began working with artists such as Giovanni Zarrella (ex- Bro'Sis ), whom he a. a. produced and managed. He also worked with David Sterry ( Real Life ), Imagination and other acts from the 80s and 90s. The launch of the group Debbie Rockt !, which he put together, produced, managed and brought to market together with Sony BMG in 2006 , caused a sensation within the industry.
In 2008, he and his wife Daniela founded the company Vans for Bands , a car rental company for artists and bands that offers rental minibuses specially tailored to their needs.
In 2015 he signed a long-term contract with Universal Music for from the Swabian Remstal originating electropop project "Juno in the Park", which produces from it, is managed and promoted. After a feature for the 90s trance heroes Ayla & Taucher & York , for whose song "Free Yourself" Juno contributed the vocals and the melody in 2015, the band released their first single Never Gonna Give You in 2016 Up , a cover version of the classic by Rick Astley , together with the English singer and YouTube star Hannah Trigwell .
