Alex Rafael da Silva Antônio (born January 1, 1988 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian football player on the position of a striker .

Career

Alex Rafael played in the offspring of Corinthians São Paulo before moving to city rivals Palmeiras in 2007 . In 2008 he was signed by Red Bull Brasil . With the club he made two promotions in a row to the Série A2 , the 2nd league São Paulo. In 2010 he was in the final of the Copa Paulista with the club , but had to admit defeat to Paulista FC . He himself contributed a goal in the second leg.

In June 2011 he and his team-mate Jefferson were invited by the Austrian club FC Red Bull Salzburg to a test training session in Salzburg , where they were used in the test matches against Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Olympique Lyon . Since he was able to convince, he was signed by the Salzburg team together with his colleague Jefferson. However, he was unable to prevail against his opponents for the entire fall season 2011 and switched back to Red Bull Brasil at the end of the year .

In 2020 he signed a contract with Chiangmai FC in Chiangmai in Thailand . The club plays in the second division, the Thai League 2 .
