Alexander Kühl (born January 7, 1973 in Rendsburg ) is a former German basketball player . He played 14 international matches for Germany and took part in the 1997 European Championship.
Career
Kühl comes from Brammer near Rendsburg . At the age of 18 he left his homeland and moved to the Bundesliga club BG Ludwigsburg . He went to the USA in 1993, first played at Palm Beach Junior College in the state of Florida and then from 1995 for two years at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte . In 48 games for the Charlotte 49ers, he averaged 6.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per encounter.
After studying in the United States and participating with the German national team in the 1997 European Championship finals , Kühl played a season for Bayer Leverkusen in the basketball league before he was particularly active in Greece and Italy . Most recently, Kühl played as a professional in France for Limoges CSP, for the team he was on the field in nine league games (6.8 points, 8 rebounds / game).
