Alexander Kostinskij ( Ukrainian Олександр Мойшевич Костинський / Oleksandr Moischewytsch Kostynskyj ; born January 19, 1946 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian- Jewish poet , writer and illustrator .

Life

Alexander Kostinskij studied history and art history at the Taras Shevchenko University in Kiev from 1970 to 1975 . Since 1970 Alexander Kostinsky has mainly been writing children's books , which are very successful in the former Soviet Union . He developed scenarios for cartoons , for which he u. a. Received prizes in Lille , New York , Porto , Hiroshima and Kiev. He has lived and worked in Munich since 1992 . In addition to his work as a book and theater author, he is also active as a broadcaster, illustrator of his own books, draftsman , painter and storyteller.
