Alexander Ludwig (born January 31, 1984 in Waltershausen ) is a German football player . The offensive midfielder has been under contract with FSV Wacker 03 Gotha since 2018 .

career

societies

Ludwig began playing football at Eintracht Wechmar , and later he played for Wacker Gotha . Subsequently, he was a member of the youth department of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt until 2000 . From 2000 to 2002 he played in the Werder Bremen U19 .

In 2002 he went to the German capital and joined Hertha BSC . There he played primarily in the reserve team. By 2005 he was used 56 times and scored 16 goals. On August 2, 2003 he made his professional debut in the Bundesliga when he was substituted on the first day of the season in the game against Werder Bremen. By the end of the season he had three more short assignments. In the following season he was no longer used in the first team.

For the 2005/06 season Ludwig was loaned to the second division team Dynamo Dresden . At the end of the season Dynamo was relegated to the Regionalliga and Ludwig stayed in Dresden for another year. In these two seasons Ludwig played 44 league games for the SGD and scored twelve goals.

In summer 2007 he moved to FC St. Pauli , which had just been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. There he was used a total of 57 times until 2009 and scored twelve times.

For the 2009/10 season he moved to league competitor TSV 1860 Munich , he signed a two-year contract with the Lions . After he was regularly used this season under coach Ewald Lienen , a year later he was only a reservist under his successor Reiner Maurer . He came to 19 missions in the 2010/11 season , but only four of them over the full length.

From the 2011/12 season he played for FC Energie Cottbus. In Cottbus, however, he could not convince as hoped and so the club announced in the course of the 2012/13 season that Ludwig would not receive a new contract in Lusatia. In October 2013, Ludwig moved to Sportfreunde Lotte in the Regionalliga West . For the 2014/15 season, Ludwig moved to Goslarer SC 08 , a year later to the Sachsenligisten BSG Stahl Riesa . Ludwig is currently the trainer of the U19 of Rot-Weiß Erfurt.

National team

Between 2004 and 2005, Ludwig played six times for the German U-21 national team. He scored two goals.
