Alexander Mattschull

Alexander Mattschull (born March 2, 1972 ) is a German manager and racing car driver . He is the son of the former racing driver Arnold Mattschull .

Racing career

Alexander Mattschull started in the German Formula Ford 1600 in 1991 with a Reynard racing car .

From 1993 to 1995 he competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany . His best result in this one-make cup, seventh place in the season's standings, was achieved in 1993 with the Mühlbauer Motorsport team . At the same time, he also drove in the Porsche Supercup in 1993 .

Together with his father Arnold Mattschull , he competed in a Porsche 964 Carrera RSR 3.8 in Paul Ricard's 4-hour race in the 1994 BPR (Global Endurance GT Championship). Both finished the race with a ninth place and a GT4 class win.

After a long break, Mattschull switched to Ferrari racing cars and in 2011 competed in the Trofeo Pirelli of the Ferrari brand championship and finished fifth in the overall standings.

In 2013 and 2014 he competed in the Blancpain Endurance Series with a Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 from the GT-Corse team and in 2015 with a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 from Car Collection Motorsport . He achieved his best placement in the gentlemen or AM classification in 2014 with the runner-up title.

In 2016 he switched to the Blancpain GT Series . There he initially competed in the Sprint Cup and from 2017 to 2019 in the Endurance Cup. In the GT Series, he achieved his best overall ranking in a Ferrari 488 GT3 in third place in 2018 .

From 2013 to 2015 he took part in a number of VLN races in the SP9 classification. In 2015 , he drove with Renger van der Zande in the ADAC GT Masters in a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 for the Car Collection Motorsport team as a guest starter at the Nürburgring race.

Alexander Mattschull regularly competed in 24-hour races in his motorsport career. He had his first long-distance assignment in 1995 for the Daytona Racing team with a Porsche 993 Cup 3.8 RSR at the Daytona 24-hour race and finished 18th after retiring.

He competed in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring in 2010, 2013 to 2015 and again in 2019. In two races he and his fellow drivers were included in the ranking. In 2010 he finished ninth in the SP7 classification with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 997) and in 2019 he came tenth overall with a Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo.

In the 24H Series he drove in the 24-hour race of Barcelona in 2013 and in the 2014 24-hour race of Dubai , which he finished in fourth place.

Career as an entrepreneur

Alexander Mattschull joined the fashion company Takko, which was run by his father in 2007 . He was there for various areas, such as B. responsible for product management, quality management, human resources and logistics. On February 1, 2019, he took over the management of Takko ( CEO ) from his father.
