Alexander Papendiek

Alexander Papendiek (born February 12, 1928 in Dresden , † August 27, 1974 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

Alexander Papendiek was born as the son of a set designer under his maiden name Alexander Papendick in Dresden. Shortly before the end of the Second World War , he was drafted. After the war he rejected the idea of becoming a set designer and took acting lessons. After his training he was hired by Martin Hellberg at the Dresden State Theater . In the 1950s Alexander Papendiek came to Berlin after a stopover in Potsdam, where he mainly worked for film and television. As early as 1961 he became a member of the newly founded actor ensemble at the DFF , of which he belonged until his death. Here he achieved great popularity, especially in the role of Lieutenant Thomas in the crime series Blaulicht (1959–1968).

Alexander Papendiek was married to the actress Brigitte Papendiek-Plotzki, with whom he has a son.

He found his final resting place in the cemetery of the Dorotheenstädtischen and Friedrichswerder parishes in Berlin's Chausseestrasse.
