Alafaya is about 10 km east of Orlando . The CDP is crossed by Florida State Roads 50 , 408 ( East-West Expressway , toll) and 434 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 78,113 inhabitants were distributed over 30,872 households. The population density was 794.6 inh / km². 71.5% of the population identified themselves as white, 10.4% as African American , 0.3% as Native American and 6.8% as Asian Americans . 7.0% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 4.0% to several ethnic groups. 32.6% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 12.2% of all households lived in 42.4% of all households with persons aged 65 or over. 70.5% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.86 people and the average family size was 3.30 people.
