Pine Hills is a census-designated place (CDP) in Orange County in the US state of Florida with 60,076 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Pine Hills borders directly on the city of Orlando to the east . Florida State Roads 50 and 438 cross or touch the CDP .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 60,076 inhabitants were distributed over 23,237 households. The population density was 1895.1 inh / km². 19.6% of the population identified themselves as whites, 67.6% as African-Americans , 0.5% as Indians and 3.8% as Asian Americans . 5.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.4% to several ethnic groups. 13.9% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 44.8% of all households and people aged 65 and over in 22.3% of all households. 74.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.08 and the average family size was 3.54.

33.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 26.9% were 20 to 39 years old, 26.1% were 40 to 59 years old, and 13.8% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 32 years. 47.0% of the population were male and 53.0% were female.

The median annual income was $ 36,383, with 23.3% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 73.01% of the population, 12.46% spoke Spanish and 14.53% spoke another language.
