Winter Garden is a city in Orange County in the US state of Florida with 34,568 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Winter Garden is located on the south shore of Lake Apopka and approximately 20 km west of Orlando . Bordering cities are Ocoee and Oakland .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 34,568 inhabitants were distributed over 13,260 households. The population density was 866.4 inh / km². 68.8% of the population identified themselves as whites , 16.0% as African-Americans , 0.4% as Indians and 5.1% as Asian Americans . 6.1% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.6% to several ethnic groups. 22.0% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 44.2% of all households and persons aged 65 and over in 18.8% of all households. 75.3% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.87 people and the average family size was 3.28 people.
23.8% of the population were younger than 20 years, 26.9% were 20 to 39 years old, 27.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 13.8% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 35 years. 48.4% of the population were male and 51.6% were female.
The median annual income was $ 65,424, with 7.5% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the first language of 82.26% of the population, 15.99% spoke Spanish and 1.75% spoke another language.

traffic
Florida State Roads 50 , 91 ( Florida's Turnpike , toll), 429 ( Daniel Webster Western Beltway , toll) and 438 run through the city . The Florida Central Railroad operates freight traffic from here to Forest City , to Orlando and to Sorrento and Umatilla . The Orlando International Airport is located about 40 km southeast of the city.
