Paradise Heights is a census-designated place (CDP) in Orange County in the US state of Florida with a population of 1215 (as of 2010).

Paradise Heights is bordered on the west by the Lake Apopka , north to Apopka and south to Ocoee . The CDP is located approximately 15 km northwest of Orlando .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 1215 inhabitants were distributed over 326 households. The population density was 1012.5 inh / km². 72.7% of the population identified themselves as whites, 7.3% as African-Americans , 0.4% as Indians, and 0.8% as Asian Americans . 16.5% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.3% to several ethnic groups. 32.5% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 17.3% of all households lived in 41.2% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 70.1% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.00 people and the average family size was 3.38 people.

31.5% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 28.6% were 20 to 39 years old, 28.8% were 40 to 59 years old, and 11.2% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 32 years. 52.1% of the population were male and 47.9% were female.

The median annual income was $ 34,375, with 18.1% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 76.80% of the population and Spanish was spoken by 23.20%.
