Holden Heights is a census-designated place (CDP) in Orange County in the US state of Florida with 3679 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Holden Heights is directly adjacent to the cities of Orlando and Edgewood . The CDP is touched by US Highways 17 , 92 and 441 ( SR 600 ) on a shared route .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 3679 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 1649 households. The population density was 1362.6 inh / km². 62.2% of the population identified themselves as whites, 27.2% as African-Americans , 0.4% as Indians and 3.2% as Asian Americans . 4.4% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.8% to several ethnic groups. 19.1% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 23.6% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 23.8% of all households. 57.1% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.39 people and the average family size was 3.01 people.

18.8% of the population were younger than 20 years, 24.1% were 20 to 39 years old, 33.0% were 40 to 59 years old, and 24.3% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 45 years. 51.9% of the population were male and 48.1% were female.

The median annual income was $ 43,382, with 18.7% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 85.80% of the population, 11.88% spoke Spanish and 2.32% had another mother tongue.
