Orlovista is a census-designated place (CDP) in Orange County in the US state of Florida with 6,123 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Orlovista borders directly on the city of Orlando . Florida State Roads 50 , 408 ( East-West Expressway , toll) and 435 cross or touch the CDP .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 6,123 inhabitants were distributed over 2,561 households. The population density was 1302.8 inh / km². 38.0% of the population identified themselves as whites , 38.4% as African American , 1.0% as Indians, and 6.8% as Asian Americans . 9.9% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 5.9% to several ethnic groups. 21.4% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 18.8% of all households lived in 39.9% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 67.8% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.90 people and the average family size was 3.43 people.

30.5% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 29.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 27.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 12.7% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 33 years. 49.9% of the population were male and 50.1% were female.

The median annual income was $ 34,707, with 29.1% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, 81.03% of the population spoke English as their first language, 14.34% spoke Spanish and 4.63% had another mother tongue.
