Meadow Woods is a census-designated place (CDP) in Orange County in the US state of Florida with 25,558 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Meadow Woods is directly adjacent to Orlando in the northeast . The CDP is traversed or tangent to the Florida's Turnpike (SR 91) and the Central Florida GreeneWay (SR 417).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 25,558 inhabitants were distributed over 9,454 households. The population density was 866.4 inh / km². 61.2% of the population identified themselves as whites, 13.8% as African American , 0.4% as Indians and 4.6% as Asian Americans . 15.4% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 4.6% to several ethnic groups. 67.2% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 17.7% of all households lived in 51.6% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 82.3% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.29 people and the average family size was 3.54 people.

32.7% of the population were younger than 20 years, 30.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 26.0% were 40 to 59 years old, and 10.9% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 32 years. 48.0% of the population were male and 52.0% were female.

The median annual income was $ 47,450, with 14.1% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 43.76% of the population, 52.97% spoke Spanish and 3.27% had another mother tongue.
