Alexander Slabinsky (born March 6, 1986 in Ivano-Frankivsk , Ukraine ) is a former British tennis player .

Career

Slabinsky played his first tournaments on the ITF Future Tour in 2005 , where he played regularly until 2007 without achieving great success. This year he won his first future title in singles, and two titles have already been recorded in doubles. On the ATP Challenger Tour he won two matches for the first time in Shrewsbury and made it to the quarterfinals.

In 2008 he made a big jump in the world rankings . He was able to establish himself on the Challenger Tour and reached the quarter-finals in individual again several times. In singles in Nottingham he got his ATP World Tour premiere thanks to a wildcard in singles , where he lost to Vince Spadea , and in doubles he was with Chris Eaton also with a wildcard in the doubles competition at Wimbledon , where the two against top seeded team Bob and Mike Bryan lost. Slabinsky was listed highest in October of that year with rank 266. After that he won fewer matches and had to compete mainly in futures again. He couldn't finish a year in the top 500. In doubles, he qualified for Wimbledon with Eaton in 2009, where he also won his only match at the Grand Slam level . In May 2010 he reached his career best there with number 275.

By the end of his career in 2013, he had won four individual titles on the Future Tour - the last two in 2012; he also won four doubles titles, the last one in 2013.
