Alexander von Vogel

Alexander von Vogel (born October 13, 1975 in Düsseldorf ) is a German lawyer and political official . Since June 11, 2020, he has been State Councilor for the districts and Senate syndicus of the authority for science, research, equality and districts under Senator Katharina Fegebank ( Alliance 90 / The Greens ) in the Tschentscher II Senate .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hamburg and doing community service, Alexander von Vogel studied law in Constance and Munich from 1996 to 2001 in the field of individual care for the severely disabled and passed the first state examination in 2001 in Munich . From 2002 to 2004 he was a PhD scholarship from the German Research Foundation (DFG) within the framework of the Graduate College for European Private and Business Law at the Humboldt University in Berlin and did his doctorate on the subject of “ Consumer Contract Law and General Contract Law - Questions of Coherence in Europe ”. From 2004 to 2006 he completed his legal clerkship in Berlin and worked as a research assistant at the chair for civil law and European business law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) . In 2006 von Vogel passed the second state examination in law in Berlin . He then worked as a lawyer at the Luther law firm in Berlin and Hamburg.

In 2008 he entered the administrative service one of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, where he held a press officer in the press office of the Senate worked. In 2012 he became the spokesman for the authority for science and research under Senator Dorothee Stapelfeldt ( SPD ). From 2015 he was the office manager of the Senator for Science and Second Mayor Katharina Fegebank (Greens) as well as the head of the presidential department in the authority for science, research and equality.

As part of the continuation of the red-green coalition after the 2020 general election , the science authority in the Tschentscher II Senate was expanded to include district supervisory authority, and Vogel and Eva Gümbel (Greens) appointed him to the state council for the districts area in the science authority. On June 11, 2020, he was appointed to the State Council by First Mayor Peter Tschentscher .

Alexander von Vogel is married and has two sons .
