Alexander von Wartensleben-Schwirsen

Alexander Constantin Eduard Hermann Graf von Wartensleben-Schwirsen (born February 25, 1807 in Rösnitz , Province of Silesia , † April 24, 1883 in Schwirsen , Province of Pomerania ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and politician.

Life

origin

He comes from the Mecklenburg noble family Wartensleben . His grandfather was the Prussian general Leopold Alexander von Wartensleben (1745–1822) , his parents were Count Konstantin von Wartensleben (* March 14, 1780 - May 23, 1851) and his wife Countess Luise Wilhelmine Emilie von Reichenbach-Goschütz (* April 11, 1780 - November 17, 1856). His parents divorced in 1809.

Career

Alexander von Wartensleben-Schwirsen studied law from 1824 to 1828 at the University of Breslau and the University of Berlin . He then entered the Prussian civil service. In 1832 he took over Gut Grabow in the Cammin district , and in 1841 the Schwirsen manor in the same district .

From May 18 to December 28, 1848 he represented the 7th constituency of the province of Pomerania ( Greifenberg ) as a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly . He belonged to the Landsberg parliamentary group and reported on the events in Frankfurt for the Greiffenberger Kreisblatt .

From 1853 until his death he was a deputy in the Agriculture Department of the Treptow district, from 1863 to 1866 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , where he belonged to the conservative faction.

family

He married on June 6, 1833 in Schweidnitz Emilie Caroline Johanne Henriette von Borwitz (* February 4, 1812, † October 4, 1877), a daughter of Major General Emanuel Joseph Sigismund von Borwitz . The couple had 5 sons and 7 daughters, including:
