Alexandra Prince (born November 3, 1975 in Hamburg , real name Alexandra Prinz ) is a German singer and songwriter of German - Brazilian descent.

Life

Alexandra Prince grew up in Hamburg as the daughter of a Brazilian dancer and a German father. At the age of 14 she gained her first experience in the recording studio. She made her breakthrough in 1997 with the hit Lonely by the singer Nana , with which she reached number 1 in the charts in Germany and Switzerland and number 2 in Austria. In 1998 she reached the top 30 for the first time as a solo artist with How We Livin ' and stayed in the charts for 16 weeks. Together with Syke 'n Sugarstarr, she reached 8th place in Finland in 1999 and 56th place in France.

One of her greatest successes in the dance scene was with So Many Times by Gadjo Feat. Alexandra Prince , with whom she made it to number 1 on the dance charts in 14 countries in 2005. In addition, So many Times was nominated in the “Best Song” category at the House Music Awards. In 2012, Mas Que Nada by Richard Gray and Nari & Milani was released and made it into the top 10 of the DMC and the top 20 of the Music Weeks Cool Cuts charts, alongside number 5 in the Canadian house charts.

Songwriter and studio singer

Alexandra Prince is also known as a studio singer and songwriter of various successful productions. She wrote songs for No Angels , Oliver Moldan, Moguai and the Deep Dish label . In addition to various titles by the Booya Family, she sang in the background for Samy Deluxe , Fettes Brot , Kool Savas and various pop artists of the 90s ( Blümchen , The 3rd Generation and many others).

Together with hip-hop producer Melbeatz , Alexandra Prince forms the dance project Durstlöscher . 2015 is in the background on the album Aeria by Oonagh heard.
