The Alexandrowski rajon ( Russian Александровский район ) is a district of Tomsk Oblast in Russia . The administrative center is the village of Alexandrowskoje with about 8000 inhabitants (2006).
geography
The Alexandrowski rajon is located in the northwest of Tomsk Oblast on both sides of the Ob . The Alexandrovskoye administrative center is 670 km from the Oblast capital Tomsk . 47% of the area of the Rajon is forested; west of the Ob 20%, east 80% of swamps.
The Rajon borders in the north and west with the Khanty and Mansi Autonomous Okrug / Ugra , in the east and south with the Kargassoksky rajon of Tomsk Oblast. The territory of the city of Streschewoi is enclosed by the Rajon, which administratively does not belong to the Rajon, but forms an independent urban district .
The villages of Lukaschkin Jar ( Лукашкин Яр ), Nasino ( Назино ), Novonikolskoje ( Новоникольское ), Oktyabrsky ( Октябрьский ) and Severny ( Северный ) are located in the Alexandrowski rajon .
80% of the population are Russians , 9% German , 4.8% Chanten , Selkupen and others.
history
Until the end of the 16th century, the area of today's Rajons was mainly inhabited by Khantines. After that, Russian colonization began. The founding year of the village Alexandrowskoje (until 1924: Nizhne-Lumpokolskoje) is 1826.
The Rajon was created in November 1923 and initially belonged to the Tobolsk District of the Ural Oblast , then to various administrative units and finally, from August 13, 1944, to the newly created Tomsk Oblast.
In 1933 the Nasino tragedy occurred on an island in Ob .
politics
Vasily Tatarchuk is the chairman of the district administration.
economy
The main economic branch of the Rajons is oil production . 22 deposits have been discovered since 1953. In addition, the timber and building materials industry and inland fishing play an important role.
